Mark Everett – a.k.a. E – has returned with his first album in four years that saw him release his autobiography and star in a documentary with his father. “The other projects have been great experiences for me, but this is what I love to do,” says E, who recorded the seventh Eels album in his Los Angeles studio. “I wanted to write a set of songs about desire—that dreadful, intense want that gets you into all sorts of situations that can change your life in big ways.”
