Talk about making a splash!

Las Vegas has staged the world’s largest bikini parade in a bid to revive the city's sagging tourism industry.

The occasion marked the 50th anniversary of the iconic “Welcome to Las Vegas” neon sign that greets visitors to Sin City.

The publicity stunt on Thursday featured some 300 bikini-clad women parading down The Strip . Women who wanted to participate in the parade had to send in a photo along with their measurements, before they were approved!

The parade was followed by a retrospective swimwear fashion show, hosted by Holly Madison from The Girls Next Door. It featured a catwalk show of bathing suits from the fifties to the present day.
