Let’s not forget what this weekend is really all about! From the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, comes the National Memorial Day Concert. Gary Sinise and Joe Montegna host the annual tribute to America’s military personal. Featuring appearances by General Colin Powell, Katie Holmes and Laurence Fishburne and performances by Katharine McPhee and Trace Adkin’s, among others. A great way to remember our brave men and women!

ABC airs part 1 of their 2 part miniseries, Diamonds, starring Judy Davis as a US senator whose daughter is killed at a diamond mine in Africa, setting off a series of events all related to the lucrative and dangerous gem trade. The beautifully shot miniseries follows the chain of production and consumption from its brutish Third World roots to the highest halls of power. A touching and tragic story that you won’t soon forget.
