Nicole Richie prefers the simple life, void of any complications -- including wedding rings -- for now. The daughter of All Night Long crooner Lionel Richie told talk show host Larry King Thursday that her unmarried status to Good Charlotte's Joel Madden, the father of her daughter Harlow Winter Kate and unborn child, suits her well. "Of course when I was a little girl, you dream about getting married, and that is definitely a dream of mine one day," she told King. "Right now, we're really, really focused on our family, we're focused on our foundation, and as far as feeling that need of commitment, we both really have that in each other. She said neither her or Madden wanted to know the baby's sex prior to her water breaking. "We want the surprise -- what is there really to plan?" Richie said. "I'll get the clothes after."
