Mel Gibson -- the controversial Oscar winning director and actor - finally went public with his beautiful new lady love, Russian singer/model Oksana Grigorieva.

In a brazen move even by Hollywood standards, the two stepped out Tuesday night at the Los Angeles premiere of the new Hugh Jackman movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Gibson --dressed in a black suit and a dark gray shirt --was all smiles as he walked hand-in-hand on the red carpet with the stunning Oksana, who was dressed in a sexy black dress. Not surprisingly, the couple did not stop to talk to reporters.
This was the first time the couple has been photographed together since RadarOnline.com posted exclusive photos of Mel & Oksana locked in a passionate embrace on a beach near his Costa Rican getaway earlier this month.

Grigorieva -- a 39-year-old singer signed to Gibson's record label, Icon -- is the former girlfriend of James Bond star Timothy Dalton. She and Dalton have a child together.
