Idol: Simon Unchanged Since Younger Days

In the spirit of last night's Idol theme -- in which contestant sang songs from their birth year -- we also got to see pictures of the judging panel as kids.

And we saw in the case of Simon Cowell that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

A young, foppish Cowell, clad in the red coat of a British soldier, is shown pointing a toy gun at the camera, eliciting laughs from the audience.

And, like contestant Megan Joy Corkrey can attest to after Cowell coldly gave her the kiss-off, the glib Brit still knows how to shoot from the hip.
