Rocky Hill, legandary guitar player and brother of ZZ Top bass player Dusty Hill, died last Friday.

RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusive details about Rocky’s long-deteriorating health and the grudge his brother held to the bitter end.

According to a source, the brothers’ bad blood began with “a riff about 4 or 5 years ago, over Dusty’s wife.”

Rocky had negative things to say about Dusty’s bride, Charleen McRory, who wasn’t Rocky’s biggest fan either. The source tells us that McRory gave Dusty an ultimatum which led to his disowning Rocky.

Rocky, became sick with cirrhosis of the liver around the same time--still drinking heavily while his money dwindled.

“At that point Rocky was a raging alcoholic…typical rock star stuff, “ says the source, “they hadn’t spoken until about 3 months ago when Dusty finally contacted Rocky. He went into the hospital because he was pretty bad off.”

Even there, no communication was face-to-face. Upon release, Rocky returned to his Texas home, ravaged by Hurricane Ike and unable to afford temporary accommodations like a hotel.

“Rocky has been living in a house that has been devastated by the hurricane and Dusty lives just about 8 minutes away in a big 7 million dollar mansion.

Despite the familiar rift we’re told Dusty plans to attend a memorial mass for his brother, to be held at an undisclosed location in Como, Tx at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
