Chace Crawford A Natural for Footloose Role Says Source

Troy Bolton's fan base he's missing, but a source says Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford -- currently testing for the lead role in the Footloose remake Zac Efron pulled out of last week-- has all the right moves, based on his athletic background.
“He did really really well," a source associated with the film told RadarOnline.com. “He’s a natural athlete."
The native Texan Crawford played golf throughout high school.
The source also says that Kenny Ortega -- who has a Midas touch in the musical genre, having directed all the High School Musical films, as well as The Cheetah Girls 2, Newsies, and Hocus Pocus -- will bring out the best in Crawford.
We here at RadarOnline wish Crawford all the best in his hopes of snagging the role -- cause we'd sure like to see him kick off his Sunday shoes.
