Super Bowl Ad Shocker

Brewer Anheuser-Busch was roundly criticized in the advertising world when they said on a promotional website, "Paying $3 million for a 30-second commercial makes as much sense as putting sauerkraut on a donut."

Putting their much-less money where their mouth was, the company advertised Miller High Life in one-second long ads which consisted of actor Windell Middlebrooks standing in front of a Miller banner and shouting "High Life."

Well, guess what? The company has seen a big 8.6% jump in their beer sales thanks to the ads, and to the controversy they generated.

Expect to see more of Mr. Middlebrooks and his brew in the future.
