The Black Eyed Peas officially launched the 51st annual Grammy Awards weekend last night by hosting a fundraiser at Los Angeles' hot Conga Room.

The concert raised money for the Peapod Foundation, which offers music and arts classes to children worldwide.

Peas-mates Fergie, will.i.am, Taboo and apl.de.ap performed with drop-ins by Lupe Fiasco, Nikka Costa and Boys II Men.

"Music penetrates through all types of boundaries and crosses all kinds of barriers," will.i.am said. "It gives us a commonality through rhythm and melody. Music has brought the world together."

"For people without the means or a place to go, it feels good for us to give them opportunities," Fergie added.

The Black Eyed Peas have a new album coming in June.
