Nickelodeon's New Dream Boy?

Kids network Nickelodeon thinks they have the next best thing (to Zac Effron).
Newcomer Nolan Gerard Funk plays heartthrob Nikko Alexander in the upcoming Nickelodeon movie "Spectacular!".
"It's a coming-of-age, coming-of-rock-star story," describes 23 year-old Funk. "My character, Nikko, has just been dumped by his girlfriend and kicked out of his band. He really wants to become a big rock star. That's his dream."
25 year-old Tammin Sursok (of "Y&R" fame) plays glee-clubber Courtney Lane, who offers Nikko a humorous catch-22 chance at recording a demo.
"I would be thrilled if this finds its audience the way "Grease" and "HSM" did," Canadian-native Funk hopes.
"I think everybody is just dying to do a sequel."
We'll just see about that... on Feb 16 at 8pm EST.
