Mayer To Propose?

Rumors are circulating that singer John Mayer will propose to galpal Jennifer Aniston on February 11, the star's 40th birthday.
On Mayer's Twitter site on Friday, he wrote, "Visiting the Diamond Exchange in Tustin," then added on Saturday, "Welding an engagement ring for my girlfriend."
We don't think he actually meant he was soldering a ring. Probably a typo for "wielding."
Is it a joke, something meant to tease us? Would he dare do that to Jen?
