You may know him for his classic recordings like "Can't Smile Without You" and "I Write the Songs," but before he was a platinum-selling megastar, Barry Manilow wrote jingles for commercials.
Among the many ditties he wrote were "Stuck on Me" for Band Aids, "You Deserve a Break Today" for McDonalds, and "Like a Good Neighbor" for State Farm.
Now, the 65 year-old legend -- who used to play piano for Bette Midler -- is being given the top award of the advertising profession, an honorary Clio.
The 50th annual awards fest for best ads will be presented at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas from May 12-14.
