It's been 27 years since '867-5309/Jenny' peaked at number 4 on the record charts. (Is the tune playing in your head yet?)
But a lot of folks still remember the Tommy Tutone hit, about a dude who finds the number and the name of its owner on a bathroom wall.
A New Jersey DJ, Spencer Potter, has the number and is selling it on eBay. Not only did he get it for free 5 years ago, but with all the area codes out there it's just one of many 867-5309 numbers.
Still, that hasn't stopped the bidding from reaching $5,100 as of Monday.
"This is really, in my opinion, one of the last cultural remnants of the '80s pop culture era," Potter says. "Other than the mullet."
