Tron fans will be happy to know that actor Jeff Bridges flew to Canada so he could undergo a special digitization process for the sequel, Tron 2.0.

According to ign.com, the procedure will knock 27 years off of the 59 year-old Bridge's face, allowing him to play his younger self from the first Tron film.

The technique was also employed in X-Men: The Last Stand to make Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen look 20 years younger.

The process involves plaster-casting Bridges face to make a 3-D model, then sculpting a more youthful version to be superimposed onto a body double.

Tron was a 1982 science fiction film which takes place inside a computer realm where microscopic soldiers fight for supremacy of the electronic world. No release date has been set for the eagerly awaited sequel (which has a very, very cool logo).
