Idol Narrows the Competition, Simon Still Simon

As American Idol narrowed the field to 36 contestants last night, it wasn't a straightforward night.
During emotional Idol-hopeful Tatiana Del Toro's screen time, Simon ripped into her about her annoying laughing and outbursts. He continued with his normal berating of Paula Abdul, chiding her for 'promoting' her jewelry line.
If it weren't for Simon, the beginning of the season would be rather dull.
