We've all heard Christian Bale's four-minute, F-bomb laced tirade against a DP (director of photography) on the set of his new movie Terminator Salvation.

Ain't It Cool News says it has the REAL story behind Bale's meltdown. The website says it has information from a reliable source that the DP Shane Hurlbut likes to fiddle with his lights on set during filming, which is a big "NO NO" on most productions.

They says Bale was in the middle of a very emotional scene with Bryce Howard when the DP walked into his eye line. Ain't It Cool News says Bale had repeatedly warned the DP not to mess with the lights, but he didn't seem to care.
