Radaronline.com has learned that a deal is close to being reached regarding the contested release of the upcoming big budget superhero flick Watchmen.

As we've reported, Fox and Warner Brothers have been battling over who owns the rights to the completed film.

Sources close to the studios tell us that a deal is virtually in place and will be announced later today.
