John Travolta, Kelly Preston, and 8 year-old daughter Ella Blue are back in the U.S. bearing the ashes of Jett Travolta. They landed in Florida headed to Ocala, where they have a home.

Obie Wilchcombe, a family friend and Bahamian politician, told the Associated Press, "Everything was in place, the cremation was completed, and they decided to leave."

No funeral plans have been announced.

Ocala Mayor Randy Ewers said the city has sent the family condolences.

"They're fantastic people, really family oriented," he added. "We want to respect their privacy as much as possible."
