Surgeon General Gupta?

Sources are telling RADAR that CNN medicine and health correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta has the inside track to be named Surgeon General in the administration of Barack Obama.

The 39 year-old surgeon, who was born in India and raised in Detroit, was previously an advisor to Hillary Rodham Clinton when she was First Lady.

In one of his most famous on-air exploits, Gupta performed on-site brain surgery in 2003 on a 2 year-old Iraqi boy who had been shot. Sadly, the child passed away.
