We're still trying to figure out how Al Franken got elected to the Senate. Shouldn't you at least have to be one of the funny SNL cast members to get votes? Sen. Amy Poehler? We could see that. Sen. Tina Fey? In a hearbeat! But Sen. Franken?

Well Norm Coleman apparently agrees with us because he's suing to keep Franken out of the Senate on the grounds that the "comic" just isn't funny enough to represent America. Actually, that's not why he's really suing but the legal papers are boring and we didn't read them but you can if you want to.

Coleman, btw, is the guy who lost to Franken and clearly doesn't want that embarrassment on his record. The lawsuit apparently could delay Franken's seating in the Senate. Let's just hope SNL doesn't invite him back on the show right when it was starting to get funny again.
