Other Commissioner Gordon Dead

Pat Hingle, the character actor who starred as Commissioner Gordon in the 1989 Tim Burton film Batman, died late Saturday night.
He passed away in his Carolina Beach, North Carolina home after a 2 year-long fight with blood cancer. Hingle moved to the area 15 ago after shooting the Stephen King film Maximum Overdrive there.
One of the actor's last films was the smash Will Ferrell film Talladega Nights in 2006, in which he played Ferrell's sponsor Mr. Dennit.
