Cruise Gives View On Jett

Looking upset and speaking softly, Tom Cruise sat down with the panel of The View to tape an episode for broadcast tomorrow. The subject: the death of the son of his close friend and fellow Scientologist John Travolta.

Cruise used the word "horrific" to describe the young man's death, struggling to control his emotions as he talked about the impact on the family, their friends, and the role their religion will play in helping Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston to cope.
