Carell's Odd Sideline

Actor Steve Carell has bought a business that is new -- yet old.
The 45 year-old star of The Office has purchased the 155 year-old general store in Marshfield Hills, Massachusetts, where he has a home. His sister-in-law Tish Vivado will manage the local landmark.
Former owner Sherry Bechtold gave the local Quincy Patriot-Ledger an explanation for the sale: she and her husband wanted to try something else, and the star assured them he wasn't going to mess with the classic shop.
