Cancer Doesn't Stop Swayze

Though he has been battling pancreatic cancer for a year, 56 year-old actor Patrick Swayze tells Barbara Walters in an interview airing tomorrow that he refused to take painkillers that would have affected his work.
The Dirty Dancing star is referring to his new A&E police show The Beast, which debuts next week.
Swayze put in days lasting 12 hours or more and limited life-saving chemotherapy treatments to the weekend. During the nearly half-year he worked on the show, he missed only a day-and-a-half on-set.
"I've never been one to run from a challenge," he says.
