In the second half of his interview with W magazine, actor Brad Pitt admitted being a bit of a slacker in the late 1990s

The superstar was "spending too much time smoking things I shouldn't be," he said. "I was asking, What's it about? It couldn't just be wanting a successful movie or something. Then I got more engaged, started studying more and my interests blossomed."

Luckily, he got his act together and is now a respected actor, a devoted parent, and an advocate for a variety of social causes.
