America Gets A King

On March 18, NBC will debut the alternate-reality TV series Kings, about a world where history turned out a little differently and the United States is governed by a king.
In this case, the potentate is Ian McShane (the borderline crazy saloon keeper in HBO's Deadwood) who plays the King of Shiloh in an alternate-world counterpart to New York. When a rural lad appropriate named David Shepherd (Christopher Egan) saves the life of the prince, he becomes personally involved in court intrigue.
