Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez insists that his relationship with singer Madonna is purely platonic.

"We're friends," the 33 year-old slugger tells People Magazine. "That's it."

He adds, "I've read that I went to twenty. I've also read that we were buying an apartment together. That is absolutely ridiculous and not true."

Pressed for more details of his friendship with the 50 year-old, A-Rod said evasively, "If I answered every rumor we'd be here for three weeks."
