Meredith Vieira is no pushover!

The TV host dishes on rejecting an interview with Paris Hilton after her 2007 release from jail.

"There was this whole thing about whether we were going to give her a special," Vieira recently told More.

"I did not feel good about doing the interview. I just said, 'I don't think this is right, this is all about ratings.'"

Vieira even told head of NBC news Steve Capus, "We look bad. We're better than this."

Steve agreed, "Let's not do this."

"It's good to have your own kind of journalistic compass," Vieira victoriously concluded.
