Jeffersons Actor Passes Away

Paul Benedict, who played the English neighbor on the sitcom The Jeffersons, was found dead on Monday. In film, he was perhaps best known as "Not Guffman" in the 1996 comedy Waiting for Guffman.

The body of the 70-year-old actor was discovered on Martha's Vineyard. According to his brother Charles, the authorities are still looking into the cause of death.

Benedict began his career in the Theatre Company of Boston in the 1960s, with actors such as Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro.
