Carrie Underwood has risked dissing politically-minded celebrities like Oprah and Bruce Springsteen by saying, "I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate. It's saying that the American public isn't smart enough to make their own decisions."

True to her word, the former American Idol star hasn't revealed who she supports as the next president.

"There is someone I do support, but I don't support publicly," Underwood tells TV Guide.

She also says that she doesn't want anybody to vote for anything or anybody "just because I told them to."
