Disney is hoping that the same young female audience that made Hannah Montana and High School Musical runaway smashes will do the same for their next venture.

ABC Family (a division of the Mouse House) is adapting the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You as a tween TV series.

The plot centers on two sisters, one a feminist, one a social gadfly, who have to start life over at a new high school.

Cast in the show are Ethan Peck (ringer grandson of late film superstar Gregory Peck), Lindsey Shaw, Meaghan Jette Martin, Nicholas Braun, and Kyle Kaplan.

The original movie was what put Heath Ledger on the map.
