They could communicate telepathically. They could see into the future. They had super senses and physical abilities.

Were they The Justice League of America? The X-Men? Nope. They were The Champions, three spies given their powers by a mystic order living in the Himalayas.

This short-lived BBC TV cult series from 1968 (shown briefly in the U.S. and available on DVD) is coming to the big screen courtesy of Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth). The script is being written by Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote Tom Cruise's upcoming Valkyrie.
