Ready, Aim, Vote

At least one industry is thankful -- at least this quarter -- that Barack Obama won the presidency. Gun sales are up as much as 33% in many areas of the country as owners anticipate strict new gun laws.
Even a month before the election, as it seemed more certain that Obama would become president, there were more than 100,000 more background checks for gun purchases than in October of the previous year.
Although Obama claims to respect the Second Amendment right to bear arms, he supports "common sense" gun laws. Naturally, gun owners view this to mean that he'll probably sanction curbs on ownership of assault weapons and concealed guns.
