John Malkovich, known for creepy roles in movies like In the Line of Fire and Beowulf, is playing against type: he's about to make a documentary about the struggles of migrant children who illegally cross the border into the United States.
Triple Crossing is intended to humanize the issue of undocumenteds who enter the country. It will be produced by Canana Films (which oddly, for a film of this humane nature, is Spanish for "cartridge belt"), a production company owned by Mexican actors Diego Luna and Gael Bernal.
Malkovich plans to make the film when he is finished directing Luna in the play The Good Canary in Mexico.
