A federal appeals court in California has decided that actress Denice Halicki, the widow of H.B. "Toby" Halicki -- who directed the original Gone in 60 Seconds movie in 1974 -- owns the rights to the car "Eleanor" from that film and the 2000 Nicolas Cage remake.

Ms. Halicki sued for trademark infringement when Carroll Shelby, the designer of the Eleanor car in the remake, registered the "Eleanor" trademark and licensed those rights to custom car maker Unique Motorcars.

Us? We like our 1967 Mustang Fastback just fine without those two stripes on the hood....
