Helen Mirren has taken on a very different role in her new film Love Ranch. The Queen actress is playing the owner of The Mustang Ranch, Nevada's first legalized brothel.

The film was directed by Taylor Hackford, who also made Ray and is Mirren's husband.

"Taylor grabbed me kicking and screaming to the brothel," Mirren said. "He said, 'You've got to do this! You're going whether you like it or not.'"

Love Ranch is loosely based on the life of a famous boxer who is killed at the ranch after having an affair with Mirren's character.

In a bold move, Hackford made the movie before getting the support of a studio, and is now looking for backing.

Then again, this is kinda mild for Dame Helen who bared all in 1979's Caligula.
