The wait is over! Singer Ashlee Simpson and hubby Pete Wentz are the parents of a boy.

The baby has been named Bronx Mowgli (the middle name comes from the scrappy hero of The Jungle Book). Baby Bronx is 7 pounds, 11 ounces, 20.5 inches long, and was born Thursday night.

Simpson is 24, Wentz is 29. This is their first child.
