Charlize Theron is in talks to star as Tom Cruise's ex-lover in The Tourist.

In the thriller -- a remake of the 2005 French flick Anthony Zimmer -- a female Interpol agent has to flush out a criminal who used to be her lover.

Shooting commences in March. In the meantime, Charlize is keeping busy with her
Africa Outreach Project, an undertaking to help educate teens about HIV in South Africa, where she grew up.
