In retrospect, Britney Spears wishes she had said "I don't."

The 26-year-old superstar said that marrying former backup dancer Kevin Federline was a mistake.

"I think I married for the wrong reasons, said Britney in a promo for her new TV documentary Britney: For the Record. "Instead of following my heart and doing what made me really happy, I just did it for the sake of the idea of everything."

Spears, who had two sons with Federline, also said that her breakup affected her music.

"Your music is a reflection of what you're going through. It's such a part of me, the record, because of what I've gone through."

The couple got hitched in September 2004, and split up in the summer of 2006.

That's actually not too bad for a celebrity marriage.
