When Joseph Biden resigns his senate seat to become the nation's Vice-President, he will not be replaced by his son, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden.
Instead, he will fulfill his National Guard duties and deploy to Iraq. He says he will return to his current job when his tour is done.
Lt. Gov. John Carney is now the front-runner for the senatorial appointment.
