Political blogger Brandon Barker is reporting that conservative country music star Hank Williams, Jr. is preparing for a 2012 run for the Senate.

The soon-to-be-60 singer of such hits as Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound and There's a Tear in My Beer would run on the GOP ticket to represent Tennessee.

The son of music legend Hank Williams, Hank Jr. made a few headlines several weeks back when he charged that Barack Obama is "not real crazy" about our national anthem.

It's those high, notes, Hank. They're tough.

Barker does have one concern, though. If Hank runs, "Who will sing the theme song for ESPN's Monday Night Football?
