Will November 4 Be A Debacle?

  • Earlier this month, a Pace University professor began a petition. It was addressed to the United Nations Electoral Assistance Division, and it began: "We are writing to you as deeply concerned citizens of the United States to request that a United Nations electoral observation team consider directing their attention to the voting processes in the United States." Now, the petition-maker didn't actually expect that the UN would come on over—but maybe it's not such a bad idea! State by state, election day is beginning to look like trouble. According to the Brennan Center's new paper, "Is America Ready To Vote?" Maybe it isn't!
