The Debate
• According to Fact Check, "Biden and Palin debated, and both mangled some facts."
• According to Salon's D.C. correspondent: "McCain campaign says Biden lied 14 times. Obama campaign says Palin lied 18 times."
• Here's the most cynical take on the debate, from election law specialist and law school prof Bradley A. Smith: "Well obviously Governor Palin was the winner. How do we know? Because all the Democratic analysts are whining about how, 'she didn't answer the questions.' Well, since when did that matter in Washington, or on the campaign trail?" Mmm, that makes me sad!
