At a John McCain rally in North Carolina this weekend, Rep. Robin Hayes (R-NC) took a page from the current Republican playbook, suggesting that those who choose to exercise their franchise for the Democrats are not genuine citizens of this country. Liberals, said Hayes, "hate real Americans that work and accomplish and achieve and believe in God."

Cue the apology statement!
