The Joe The Plumber Dossier
Posted on Oct 27, 2008 @ 04:07PM
On Tuesday, 34-year-old Joe Wurzelbacher was just another anonymous, working-class dude in Ohio trying to make ends meet as a small business owner in Ohio. After Wednesday's presidential debate, however, everything changed! John McCain first brought up Wurzelbacher, aka "Joe the Plumber," as an example of the type of guy who would have to pay higher taxes in the event of an Barack Obama administration. All told, his name was brought up two dozen times during the debate. Even Katie Couric called to get a word in with Joe!
As expected, the media, in light of Wurzelbacher's newly minted celebrity, started doing some digging into Joe's background. It turns out Joe's story has some serious holes in it!
