  • Gabriel Snyder, we hear, late of Variety and then of the L.A. bureau of W, will take over shortly as the lead editor of gawker.com. Snyder spent the early 00's at the Observer before he went west. He'll navigate Nick Denton's income-friendly flagship as Gawker Media undergoes some digging down for the coming ad market downturn.
