Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama

Yesterday on Meet the Press, former Secretary of State Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama for president, citing his confidence in the Democrat's abilities and his disappointment in John McCain's campaign, particularly his erratic judgments and choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate. It was a fairly heartfelt endorsement, and, as the New Republic's Isaac Chotiner has noted, the most poignant part was this:
