The McCain campaign's branding of Sarah Palin as a fellow maverick is taking a bit of a pounding, particularly concerning the claim that Palin opposed the famed "Bridge to Nowhere," the pork-barrel extravaganza that became a symbol of what happens to fiscal responsibility when you allow Republicans to hold the levers of power for too long. What's the problem with the claim? Well, for one, it's bullshit.
