McCain Now Chaperoning Palin For Couric Interviews

The McCain team, which has apparently decided that they'll let Katie Couric get the credit for sinking their campaign, sent John McCain and Sarah Palin to sit down with the CBS anchor last night. What you'll learn: Sarah Palin does a much better job of parroting the lines she's fed when there's someone from the campaign sitting right next to her reminding her of what to say. Also? "Gotcha journalism" now means "any question which causes its respondent to say something off-message." But, as the Alaska governor reminds us, that's okay too!
